Fr. Bob Mosher
The Dialogue Institute of the Southwest- El Paso branch, had the pleasure to host Fr. Bob Mosher, Director, Columban Mission Center of El Paso.
Fr. Bob Mosher lived and worked in Chile from the time he was a seminarian, arriving in Santiago, the capital city, for the first time in 1980. Except for occasional visits to his family in Massachusetts, and obtaining a doctorate in Missiology at Rome’s Gregorian University, he continued to live, work and teach in Santiago until 2009 when he was assigned back to the United States.
Around 35 people gather during one of our Friday Socials to listen to Fr. Bob Mosher’s speech on “The Life After Death.
“Every human being, I think, believes there’s is something after death, or, at least, they hope so. There is an intuition that death is not the end. There’re ancient beliefs that the death can still influence the living; from the spiritual word to the physical world. In Abrahamic Religions, we believe that our actions have consequences after death; that there’s a time for judgement. However, Christians believe that deeds are not enough to be granted salvation. Faith is more important, and it is the key to salvation.”
